Teaching internship from the metaphorical lens of Filipino prospective teachers

<span>Understanding prospective teachers’ (PTs) conceptions and perspectives about teaching internship may serve as an anchor for understanding their new experiences. The study explores Filipino PTs’ concepts of through a metaphorical lens. Seventy-five PTs from state-owned university in the Philippines served subjects this qualitative inquiry. Data came written narratives explanations provided by participants to describe ideas on what is all about. metaphoric images were enumerated, counted, interpreted, classified show meaningful patterns themes. Findings showed that converged into six categories as: 1) An endless learning venture; 2) A rewarding obstacle surpass; 3) chance be surrogate parent; 4) enhancement pedagogical competence; 5) immersion actual workplace; 6) ultimate path towards becoming teacher.
